Production Planner

Your future position?


As a Production Planner at our Cincinnati manufacturing facility within our NOAM (North America) Planning Department, you will manage and address work orders as they come into the Liquids or Spray Dry/Blending Planning work que.  You will work very closely with the Production, Warehouse/Transportation, Quality and Regional Planning/Supply Chain teams in addition to the Sales and Customer Care teams.  You are the first step in organizing and planning the work for the Liquids or Spray Dry/Blending department team, as you will prepare and release all shop orders to the appropriate production areas and locations.  Sound interesting?  This could be your ideal opportunity if, like our team, you enjoy leading the charge for work getting assigned and completed.  In this exciting position you will:


  • Breaks down and Creates orders - you will determine the level and the size of the work orders needed to meet customer oder demand and create shop orders for the production site or warehouse for picking.


  • Provides support - you will provide planning support for all labs (Quality, FC&A and S&T) amongst the Liquids or Spray Dry/Blending department.


  • Expedites materials - you will expedite raw materials to support customer requests and generate transfer requests from other facilities to support production.


  • Provides schedule - you will provide a realistic production schedule for production on a daily basis while interacting with Procurement colleagues to ensure raw material availability as well as other Planners to ensure intermediate availability.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; however, some college coursework is preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of production and inventory control techniques
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
  • Thorough computer system knowledge is required, such as Excel, Word, Windows, etc.
