Key Account Sales Manager - South West

Our comprehensive knowledge of local flavors, global footprint and strategic insights ensure close partnerships with our customers. With a customized approach to product creation, recent acquisitions, and the launch of our 2025 strategy, the Flavors Taste and Wellbeing Division is a powerhouse of knowledge, innovation, and creativity equipped to surprise customers and consumers with fresh, unique ideas and solutions. Givaudan creates lasting flavor and taste experiences that touch emotions across segments including beverages, sweet goods, savory and snacks, and food service.

 

Reporting to a Regional Sales Director, you will have opportunity to grow accounts in a category as a primary focus (Beverage, as an example), but additional account focus could also be a possibility depending on your experience and industry knowledge. Ideally, you will be home-based in the South West (Texas, as an example)

 

  • Account Management: Lead and influence strategic account planning. Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition data. Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans.

 

  • Negotiate and Collaborate: Manage large commercial projects in collaboration with Flavor Creation and Application. Ensure visibility and exposure for us at customers by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with essential product demonstrations and technical to technical interface. Follow up on customer submissions and manage wins through to production and launch. Negotiate pricing agreements following company guidelines.

 

  • Business Development: Grow our business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities. Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning us as preferred supplier and ensuring we are positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core supplier lists.

 

You?

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science
  • 6+ years experience in sales, marketing or customer relationship role in food or related industry
  • Experience with the flavor industry, including consumer and industry trends
  • Knowledge of customer strategies, projects, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity
