BASIC FUNCTION
To perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, and installation of equipment in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption to site operations
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting and/or repairs of production and facility equipment
- Conducts electrical and mechanical installation, repair, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation, and/or controls
- Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines
- Maintains level of housekeeping/sanitation/food safety and safety which meets Company’s standards and guidelines
- Perform administrative duties including but not limited to creating and closing work requests using Maintenance management system (SAP)
- Responsibilities may include welding, pipefitting, and plumbing work throughout the facility
- Attends site training sessions, including, but not limited to hazardous waste training
- Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive approach to work performance
- Other tasks as assigned
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the industrial background (food or chemical preferred), facility maintenance or general mechanical experience in pipefitting, welding, or pump and equipment repair or related experience
- Forklift, JLG, and scissor lift experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and perform duties at elevated heights
- Familiar with 110, 240, and 480V 3-phase systems
- No Food Allergies
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- General computer literacy
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Must possess strong written and verbal English skills and be able to read and explain technical documentation to others
- Must be able to safely use hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly, and testing of electronic and pneumatic equipment
- Must possess the mechanical ability, electrical aptitude, and skills relating to a minimum of one craft within welding, plumbing, pipefitting, or electrical areas
Starting Wage: $28.00 - $32.00 + shift differential
Shift: 2nd shift
Hours: 10 days on 4 days off. Off every other Weekend Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues.
- Hours may change based on the production schedule.
- Overtime work may be required.
