Operations Supervisor-Liquids (1st Shift)

As an Operations Supervisor, 1st shift within our Liquids production department for our Cincinnati, OH manufacturing facility, you will be fundamental in overseeing the production floor and ensuring orders are completed on time while maintaining quality, safety in addition to inspiring a customer-minded focus in the team. You will have the opportunity to provide inspirational leadership to the Operators in improving performance, skill set and overall development. In this role you will:

 

  • Coach: you will coach operators in achieving safe, correct and efficient completion of assigned work.

 

  • Measure: you will measure and report the productivity of the Spray Dry department and track individual employee productivity and quality of work on your designate shift.

 

  • Develop: you will develop subordinates and improve the technical level and training of the Spray Dry 3rd shift employees.

 

  • Determine: you will assign and schedule work to the operators while providing them with details of work to be completed and the expected duration.

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Technical field is highly preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 3-5 years minimum work experience preferably in manufacturing systems in Flavor/Food, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, or pharmaceuticals
  • Possess strong problem solving skills, excellent communication skills and be a self-starter
  • Background in production process improvement is also a strong plus
  • Good working knowledge of SAP, Windows, MS Office and experience working in a GMP environment is helpful
