Process Operator I, Chemicals

Your future position?

As a Process Operator I within our Chemical Manufacturing department at our Cincinnati, OH manufacturing facility, you will be fundamental in operating process manufacturing equipment to create intermediate or finished flavor products

 In this role you will:


  • Operate continuous distillation unit


  • Run batch distillation units and/or chemical reactions


  • Selects appropriate raw materials, performs proper transactions for consuming materials into batch following order of addition for enhancer production


  • Produce distillations, extractions, and/or washes


  • Run M-31 process


  • Perform repacks


  • Accurately read and monitor control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required
  • Work in accordance with all relevant requirements including , but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines
  • Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications
  • Perform in-process quality testing to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Identify deviations and document/communicate them in compliance with Stanard Operating Procedures
  • Understand bill of materials  and/or formula specifications so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence
  • Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance

Your professional profile includes:

  • Basic math, reading and recordkeeping skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products
  • Ability to perform routine work assignments, multi-tasking and following instructions with moderate supervision;
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • No food allergies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing environment 
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Forklift operation skills preferred
  • SAP, barcoding experience preferred
