Process Operator I

BASIC FUNCTION

  • This position must demonstrate the ability to successfully operate all manufacturing and ancillary equipment required for the following processes; blending, paste, spray dry, & vacuum dry formulas with moderate supervision.

 

 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assemble, operate, tear down & sanitize all equipment as specified in the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Weighing accuracy within the allowable tolerances of MWS.
  • Work following all relevant food safety requirements including; GMP, AIB, OSHA, HAACP, FDA & FSSC220000.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area through the completion of the General Housekeeping, Master Sanitation and GMP requirements.
  • Perform all inspections, and verifications i.e. pre-operational, post-operational, Critical Control Points (CCP) etc.
  • Obtain samples for analysis. In-process tests.
  • Maintain complete and accurate record-keeping of batch records.
  • Apply all Quality Programs (HACCP, Allergen, GMP).
  • Contribute to the overall safety of the department by following all safety guidelines.
  • Overseeing inventory accuracy reports all errors.
  • Excellent attendance, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in flavor, ingredient, food or chemical manufacturing.
  • Can frequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • We ask that you be respirator usage, you will be medically certified to wear a respirator
  • SAP, barcoding /scanning experience
  • Forklift operation skills

 

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

 

  • Basic math, reading and recordkeeping skills
  • Basic PC skills, including competency in MS Office products
  • Ability to perform routine work assignments as assigned. Follow formula instructions with moderate supervision.
  • Initiate the most basic formula revisions (missing instructions, order of addition).
  • Ability to perform in-process tests utilizing the lab equipment designed for such tests.
  • Can navigate screens, & perform basic SAP, & LCMS transactions.
