Job Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President & General Counsel for our North America Taste & Wellbeing business, you will provide legal advice and counsel to the organization on a broad range of matters, with primary responsibility for structuring, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of agreements.
Core Responsibilities
• Exhibit Superior Legal Skills: The position requires the ability to skillfully negotiate complex agreements, provide practical legal counsel, and develop creative solutions to resolve issues, all with excellent business judgment.
• Collaborate With Others: Work in partnership with Legal colleagues around the globe. Collaborate with and provide legal guidance to all levels of management within the organization, especially the Commercial function.
• Drive Efficiencies and Operational Excellence: Develop and/or review the legal aspects of various documents, guidelines and procedures of the company, both internally and externally. Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and forms to ensure compliance and achieve better efficiency. Conduct training as appropriate.
Academic Background
• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Bar admission and license to practice in Ohio or ability to obtain license to practice in Ohio
Professional Experience
• Preferably 2-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
