Senior Payroll Specialist

Reporting to the Payroll Manager in Cincinnati you will be a business advisor providing both internal and external customers prompt & accurate service as well as guidance in various payroll matters.

 

You will:
•    Process weekly/biweekly/monthly US and Canadian payrolls while effectively managing all payroll-related transactions including tax(withholding, unemployment, disability), benefits (Section 125, Savings Plan, 401(k), Roth, and Post tax deductions), and Workers Compensation .
•    Month-end closing GL entries, reclassification of GL postings, creation of necessary journal entries.
•    Administer, process, and report all non-qualified executive compensation plans
•    Liaison between Givaudan and third party service providers and reconcile issues at hand
•    Point person for all Federal, State, and Local tax reporting issues derived from payroll.system, including all quarterly and annual reporting requirements (941, 940, W2)
•    Process non-cash fringe benefits and gross-up computations.
•    Create and process standard and had hoc reports to meet all requirements
•    Work with outside service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure system controls.
•    Prepare and complete all testing of system or tax updates applicable to the Givaudan's database, while maintaining a role to ensure accurate system configuration for relevant tax and reporting requirements.
•    Participate in any audit or controls & compliance issues as necessary.
•    Communicate payroll issues to internal Givaudan staff and third-party service providers.

 

You?
•    5+ years of payroll processing and management experience.
•    Solid U.S.Payroll Tax and Wage and Hour Laws knowledge.
•    Experience with either SAP or SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Processing and ADP's automated time and attendance system is highly desirable.
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
•    Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) status desired
•    Interpret policies and work with HR and Benefits BPs, along with outside contacts
•    Resolve both technical and process-related questions with autonomy.
•    Customer Service understanding
