In this exciting role you are managing the Spray Dry & Liquids Department in all technical and administrative aspects. You ensure a safe and reliable 24/7 operation to produce a broad portfolio of flavours and provide strategic leadership to support the long-term vision of your department. This includes a close and cross-functional collaboration with local, regional and global stakeholders and functional experts. You will work with a motivated team of experts in your department and become a part of the engaged Site Leadership team. You will be based in Dübendorf and report to the Head of Operations.

In this exciting role you will:

  • Safety You are leading by example and evolving a 'safety first' mindset across the organization. You are driving local programs in the Manufacturing area to support site goals in the area of Environment, Health and Safety. You contribute to our long-term Sustainability Strategy.
  • Quality You ensure a continuous improvement mentality in the Manufacturing team with a clear 'zero defects' ambition. You guide our local Food Safety and Quality programs.
  • Cost, Investment and Budget ownership You manage cost at department level through close collaboration with the relevant departments (Controlling, Engineering). You establish investment plans and ensure execution of your projects within time and budget.
  • Customer Centricity and Service You are an ambassador of a customer-centric mindset across local departments. You create an agile Supply Chain and ensure adherence to production plans (on-time and in-full)
  • Leadership and Talent Management You lead two Manufacturing Teams (approximately 90 employees). You manage personal and team performance, provide coaching and develop local talents in collaboration with Operations Management and Human Resources. Moreover you are responsible for the hiring of department staff.

Your professional profile includes:

  • University degree in a Scientific or Technical Field (e.g. Natural Sciences, Engineering)
  • At least 5 years Industry experience and several years in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of manufacturing concepts, processes and related hands-on experience
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of LEAN or Six-Sigma methodology
  • Business fluent in German and English (written and oral)
  • Enthusiastic about analytics and passionate to solve challenges
  • Full working time flexibility is required (24/7 operations)
