Application Technician - Savoury (Temp contract 6 months)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Blending seasoning formulas for senior creators.
  • Participate in evaluations of flavours in food applications  for briefs, research projects and portfolio evaluations
  • Select optimal flavours for projects according to specified requirements (i.e., customer, regulatory, legislation, technical costs) 
  • Assist in development and preparation of flavoured food products for internal and customer evaluations
  • Support Flavour Applications Team in executing daily lab tasks 
  • Manage stocks for raw material portfolio.
  • Stock and control raw materials, flavour samples, and lab supplies
  • Record lab data using a lab notebook and Givaudan software
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment in accordance with EH&S policies

 

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Polytechnic or B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology
  • Open for fresh graduated
  • Preferred 1 +  years experience in a food applications lab, production, or related area preferred

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Communicates clearly in written and verbal form
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using common PC applications
  • Basic understanding of research documentation protocol
  • Basic knowledge of lab equipment and materials used to perform lab functions
  • Basic knowledge of safety, hygiene and environmental guidelines/ requirements
