Production Manager Granulation

Your future role?


As a Production Manager in Dortmund, you will supply customers with the ordered products on time, and in the right quality and quantity, taking restrictions, agreements, and availability of resources into account. You will ensure reliable, high quality, on-time production of granulated flavours according to plan, applying optimal usage of resources and the implementation of LEAN principles throughout granulation production Dortmund.


In this role you will:


  • Ensure reliable, efficient and safe productions activities in Germany granulation production with a strong focus on personnel safety, on-time execution (service), quality (customer and internal requirements) and cost (efficiency)
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the achievement of site objectives and KPIs. In case of conflict site objectives and KPIs are of higher importance than department obj. and KPIs
  • Ensure the achievement of department KPIs 
  • Set team KPIs and controls the achievement 
  • Continuously improves processes inside the department, but also across interfaces, along the value stream to improve overall performance in safety, quality, service and cost. The improvement process follows the LEAN philosophy 
  • Lead and develops a team of around 25 granulation operators 
  • Management: machine spares, spare parts, control programs, PIDs 
  • Ensure adherence of all relevant standard guidelines
  • Develop & execute long term strategies to keep the production competitive



Your professional background includes:


  • University degree in food/chemical/science/process engineering or comparable education/experience
  • German and English knowledge (excellent in written and verbal)
  • Flavour encapsulation as an advantage
  • People & project management training
