Flavour Portfolio Expert - Your future role?

As a Flavour Portfolio Expert in Dubai, you will support the selection and building of a local flavour collection by applying technical information and sensory techniques, implementing daily selection briefs, selecting flavours for projects, communicating updates on collections to teams, participating in tasting sessions and evaluations, maintaining flavour performance data, and ensuring a safe and organized lab environment.

You will report to the Technical Manager.

You will:

• Support in building the local flavour collection by selecting the best flavours applying technical information, sensory paneling techniques and commercials insights, according to country commercial strategy.

• Accomplish – under the supervision of the Local Technical Manager - daily selection briefs and matching market products and target flavours from the active flavor collection.

• Select flavours for projects according to specified requirements (i.e. customer, regulatory, legislation, cost) and build the value proposition.

• Support in the communication of content and updates on collections to technical and commercial teams.

• Support tasting session and presentations to technical and commercial teams.

• Participate in evaluations of flavours in food applications for existing portfolio flavours.

• Maintain the flavour performance data for the flavour portfolio through evaluation in finished product and capture of profiles and information.

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment observing EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines

You?

Are you someone who shows skills in food ingredient applications, flavor profiles, production processes, financial considerations, and technical discussions in the food industry? Then join us!

You have:

• Understanding of most food ingredients when used in application

• Understanding of multiple Givaudan food applications processes

• Knowledge of most of our customers’ products and their production processes

• 5+ years of flavour experience 

• Demonstrate tasting skills and can describe the flavour profile of the product and provide direction to flavourists for flavour modifications

• 3+ years of experience with the most common flavour reactions/interactions in common food products

• A basic understanding of project management

• Hold technical discussions internally
