Marketing Manager – Fine Fragrance, SAMEA - Your future position?


Do you hold fragrances close to your heart and when looking at trends are constantly thinking about what is next and why? As a Marketing Manager - Fine Fragrance, and part of our SAMEA Fine Fragrance Team, located in Dubai, you will provide industry-leading marketing expertise to support our commercial objectives. In addition, you will focus on analyzing market and consumer intelligence while creating and delivering impactful client presentations combined with trend identification and concept ideation.

  • Creative Vision and Communication: Create and deliver compelling presentations, tailoring Givaudan’s value proposition to specific needs of the client. Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.  Build and maintain effective relationships with clients. Assist in designing marketing programs to address client needs. Work with Sales and Evaluation to establish appropriate olfactory direction to win briefs. Strong creative writing and engaging storytelling skills are critical.


  • Collaborate on and contribute to marketing programs: Initiate and guide development of new creative marketing programs to reinforce fragrance messages that help provide greater market understanding to our internal development team and to our clients.


  • Organizing events and developing marketing tools: Plan and organize events like Beautyworld, client fragrance launches etc. Build Givaudan Brand in the local market and ensure local Marketing activity is consistent with Fragrance Division Branding & Positioning. Develop marketing tools – design, digital, packaging etc.


  • Fragrance Knowledge:  Identify client brand “white space” and ideate new concept directions including creation of concept: write description of fragrances launches for clients, visuals-collaborating with creative team for synergies with olfactive recommendations. Ability to recognize olfactory notes and communicate in fragrance language.


  • Market and Consumer Analysis: Analyze the worldwide fragrance category on a continual and proactive basis.  Interact with the Consumer Market Insights team to understand consumer behavior and ideate on research methods to support sales goals. Strong ability to analyze consumer insights to strengthen consumer awareness and understanding. Demonstrates knowledge of fragrance products, trends, key customers, and competitors.

    Your professional profile includes:


  • A degree in marketing (business school or university)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years Marketing or brand management experience, preferably in an image related field such as fragrance, fashion or cosmetics
  • Strategic thinking, Consumer and customer focused with good Market and consumer knowledge   
  • Strong communication & networking skills, Excellent presentation skills
  • Great team work spirit and leadership
  • Creativity and a sense for aesthetics
  • A sense for olfaction
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Open to the diversity of job
  • Knowledge of graphics – Photoshop, video editing a plus
  • Global fragrance experience preferred, knowledge of SAMEA market a plus
  • Proficiency in English, French and/or Arabic a plus
