A Savoury Flavourist for our Regional Flavour Creation team to focus on South Asia, Middle East & Africa region, and based in our Dubai office in the United Arab Emirates - Your future position?

This exciting role will focus on the Savoury segment for our Taste & Wellbeing business in South Asia, Middle East and Africa.

You will report into the SAMEA Frontline Technical Head based in Dubai. You will be part of an exclusive global team of very experienced Flavourists in Givaudan and in a position to further develop your expertise together with your colleagues within and outside your own team and region.

Release your creativity to create the Savoury Flavours of the future:

• Based on both customer requests and market insights, you will create new flavours making use of the newest flavour technologies, the latest ingredient innovations, market and consumer insights, and a unique pallet of raw materials.
• You will also come with ideas and innovations to ensure our customers can continue to make the difference for their consumers around the globe.
• Innovate and collaborate with our Science & Technology teams:
• You will work together with our Science & Technology (S&T) teams to identify the tools S&T develops to allow us to win more projects in Egypt.
• Within your innovation mandate, you will work in collaboration with the Marketing, Application, and Commercial teams to apply these new tools in your new flavour creations for existing and innovative Savoury applications.

Create excellent relationships with our customers:

• Maintain relationships with a broad number of partners and stakeholders to gain their trust and respect.
• Accomplish daily brief-related tasks and manage assigned projects and provide flavours which meet all defined customer needs and manufacturing practices, sample scale-up, production requirements, regulatory compliance.
• Lead customer visits for flavour creation and product presentations.

Be a technical expert:

• To resolve flavour production issues, customer complaints, and complete ownership of created flavours.
• Coach, train, and mentor flavour assistants, flavourist’s, and application technologist’s.

Your professional profile includes:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or in any other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience as a Flavourist after completion of your trainee programme, with a Flavour house.
• Prior experience focusing on Africa or the Middle East region will be advantageous.
• Excellent creation experience for Savoury and able to manage briefs independently. Knowledge of any ad-ditional flavour categories will be advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Oral and written proficiency in the English language. Knowledge of additional languages like Arabic will be an advantage, but not essential.
• Solid knowledge of raw materials and flavour ingredients, flavour formulation, modifications and adjustments, solvent and carrier systems, delivery systems, analytical methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to try innovative tools in flavour creation, building trials plan and communicate the outcome to the Flavour Creation & Application community.
• Expert tasting skills and the ability to create and adjust flavour formulations that meet the taste requirements of customers.
• Excellent presentation skills and strong communication & interpersonal skills.
