Project Engineer

This position will provide project engineering to support our East Hanover, NJ site development, expansion, and process improvement/implementation activities in the production, warehouse, office, laboratory, and facility management areas throughout the site.  He/she will deliver high quality state of the art installations and provide leadership of multi-disciplined project teams.  Will also conceive, develop and implement engineering solutions to improve manufacturing efficiencies and reduce cost.  Solutions can be a combination of procedure optimization and/or capital improvements.

 

  • Develop and Manage: capital projects from concept through implementation, with specific focus on overall project management and coordination.  Responsible for scope development, cost estimates, project justification, design, and construction phases of assigned projects.  Must deliver high quality installations within budget and time constraints.

     

  • Identify and Coordinate: with departments to develop and implement process improvements which result in significant cost savings, product quality, or efficiency improvements. Develop specifications and sketches necessary to complete project installations.  Obtain bids for process equipment and construction services, and complete purchases of such equipment and services.

     

  • Collaborate and Assign: outside contractors, engineering services, and consultants as required to complete assignments.  Develop scope and expectations for each outside service/contractor and monitor progress and quality of work.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor of Science (or MS) degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with proven abilities to effectively manage projects.
  • Must be skilled in capital project design, cost estimation, and schedule monitoring.
  • Must have the ability to analyze current processing techniques and recommend process improvements.
  • Computer skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and MS Project is required.  Working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
