Reporting to the Maintenance Asset Manager in our East Hanover, NJ manufacturing facility, you will communicate maintenance plans, routine/preventive interventions, related schedules and resources, skills, and materials needed to maintain installations/equipment and avoid/minimize disruptions.

 

  • Operational Excellence: Classify work such as emergency, safety, GMP, shutdown required, equipment reliability, engineering, and priority status. Administer work orders and requests such as Bill of Material, kitting instructions and vendor services (contract vibration service, rigging service, required license service). Calculate maintenance costs, including labor, material, and service provider costs. Report on maintenance activities/costs versus plan(s) and budgets. Provide documents for audits.

 

  • Influence Collaboratively: Work with Production Planners to obtain schedules, identify equipment involved and plan for skills and materials. Review plans with Maintenance/Production to validate accuracy and feasibility. Help resolve production problems. Work observing relevant requirements (GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, Food Safety and internal safety guidelines). Identify deviations and communicate in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.

 

  • Organize and Improve: Obtain information for crafts to perform work: drawings, vendor manuals, instructional materials, special procedures. Develop job plans and preventative maintenance procedures, determine parts, materials, crafts and skills, and engage resources to develop a safe work control plan, directly affecting our operational performance in our continuous improvement culture.

 

You?

  • College Degree, Technical school course work, or equivalent maintenance scheduling work experience.
  • 3+ years industrial maintenance planning, preventative maintenance scheduling experience or prior industrial mechanic experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes and proper use of work order systems
  • Project planning and project management skills with exposure to reading standard machine and process drawings
