Mechanic II

Maintenance Mechanic – Your future position?

As a Mechanic for our East Hanover site, you will provide immediate support in the maintenance of the site.  Strong knowledge and expertise in the repair and installation of industrial equipment in an Operations/Manufacturing environment is a must.  The schedule for this position will be  4 x 10-hour shifts with day hours (Wednesday to Saturday).

 

  You will:

·Use your technical expertise to repair and troubleshoot:  diagnose, repair, and perform industrial work – millwrighting, pipefitting, and layout/installations, including repairs to existing equipment including automation and instrumentation.

·Support internal customers: Work well with production departments, plant engineers, and other maintenance technicians to provide assistance as needed.

·Assist with projects as needed:  perform rigging work, including installation of new equipment (and relocation of existing equipment).

·Safety/Quality Compliance: You will pay careful attention to and follow the department’s policies and procedures. In addition, you will contribute to the overall safety of the department and ensure a quality product is maintained through compliance of all OSHA, FDA, AIB, HACCP & GMP guidelines.

·2 year technical degree in related field preferred.  Will consider high school diploma with equivalent experience

·Prior experience as a Mechanic in an industrial setting is required

· Computer skills are required, prior SAP experience preferred

·Must possess a commitment to quality and service, be flexible and have effective communication skills.

·Must have the ability to work in a timely manner, according to schedule (this will ensure minimal disruption to site operations).
