As our next EHS Specialist, reporting to our EHS Manager, you will provide support daily and specifically on one or more EHS specializations. You will promote the EHS culture across our organization. This position is located in Florence, KY.

 

In this exciting role, you will:

  • Support Management and operations staff for internal/external regulatory compliance
  • Stay abreast with EHS regulations and apply knowledge to projects and daily tasks with authorities related to Environment, Health and Safety; reporting to the EHS Manager any clue of authority concerns
  • Lead incident, injury and complaint investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented
  • Evaluate regulatory permitting requirements and submit permit applications to applicable agencies
  • Develop compliance training and documentation and conduct EHS trainings
  • Facilitate tool box meetings and deliver other EHS training
  • Participate on the development of EHS procedures, recommend changes and track their implementation
  • Organize and participate in regular site safety inspection with department/area owners; report findings and follow up their correction & prevention
  • Follow up all audits findings; and evaluate the efficiency of their corrective & preventive actions
  • Help on organizing site EHS committee meetings and following up on all actions agreed in the committee meeting
  • Help on risk assessment and provide solutions to minimize risks

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Science/Engineering, or EHS field
  • At least 2 years of working experience in chemical/manufacturing industry
  • Appropriate country EHS qualification or certifications

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Create EHS written programs/training
  • Facilitate Hazardous waste pickups and complete weekly inspections for Large Quantity Generator
  • Manage other waste programs
  • Assist with DEA regulatory processes for a registered site
  • Perform incident/near miss investigations
  • Assess risk for tasks and projects
  • Perform SPCC monthly inspections
