Engineering & Project Supervisor in Guangzhou - Your next position?

As a Facility and Engineering Manager at Givaudan, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and management of the company's facilities and equipment. You will also play a crucial role in managing engineering projects to ensure smooth production operations. Additionally, you will be involved in budgeting, procurement, team management, and contractor supervision.

At this exciting role, you will be responsible:

  1. Facility and Equipment Maintenance: You will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of Givaudan's facilities and equipment. This includes developing and implementing maintenance plans, coordinating repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition to support uninterrupted production.

  2. Project Planning and Management: You will be involved in the planning and execution of new facility construction, renovation, and refurbishment projects. This includes developing project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

  3. Budgeting and Expense Management: You will be responsible for preparing engineering-related annual budgets for your department and the entire company. You will also monitor project expenses and ensure that they align with approved budgets. Additionally, you will track and manage procurement orders related to maintenance, repairs, and services using the SAP/SRM system.

  4. SAP/SRM System Management: You will utilize the SAP/SRM system to enter and track maintenance, repair, service, and procurement orders. This includes ensuring accurate and timely data entry, monitoring order status, and managing follow-up actions.

  5. Team and Department Management: You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, including managing a team of professionals. This involves providing guidance, setting performance objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  6. Contractor Supervision: You will be responsible for supervising contractors engaged in facility maintenance, repairs, and construction projects. This includes conducting preliminary evaluations of contractor quotes and qualifications to ensure compliance with Givaudan's standards and requirements.

  7. Document Writing and Management: You will be responsible for creating and managing departmental documents, including reports, procedures, and guidelines. This ensures that information is properly documented and easily accessible for reference and compliance purposes.

  8. Participation in Meetings: You will participate in global or regional departmental meetings to stay updated on industry standards and requirements. You will also ensure that the relevant standards and requirements are implemented within your department.

  9. Additional Responsibilities: You will undertake any other tasks or projects assigned by the company or your manager.

You?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in facility and equipment maintenance, project management, and budgeting.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP/SRM system or similar maintenance and procurement systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
