We are hiring a Commercial Manager Centroamerica for our Taste & Wellbeing department, who will lead the commercial strategy for the region, driving profitable and sustainable business growth. You will strengthen relationships with main clients, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring execution of plans aligned with Givaudan's global goals. It fosters innovation, wellbeing, and sustainability across the solutions offered, while developing high-performing teams focused on excellence and collaboration.

 

You'll report to the Commercial Head ANCAM; working four days onsite and one from home a week.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

Growth and Profitability

  • Drive sustained sales growth through the development and execution of the annual Business Plan, enhancing the Taste & Wellbeing solutions portfolio across key categories (beverages, savory, snacks, dairy, confectionery, and others)
  • Improve commercial efficiency, ensuring profitability and alignment with the yearly sales and project KPIs.
  • Ensure management and achievement of annual price increase targets.
  • Guarantee the strategic distribution of the client portfolio across the commercial team, securing effective market coverage in Central America while balancing workload, growth potential, technical complexity, and development opportunities. Promote specific action plans by segment and country.

Commercial and Team Leadership

  • Develop and motivate a commercial team, encouraging collaboration, customer focus, and an innovation mindset.
  • Promote a culture of learning, feedback, inclusion, and customer orientation across the area's operations.
  • Encourage completion and follow-up of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all team members.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of all Engage cycles: objective setting, Mid-Year review, End-Year review, Annual Salary Review (ASR), among others.
  • Participate in attraction, selection, onboarding, and development processes, ensuring competency assessment and integration to strengthen performance and accelerate learning curves.

Client and Stakeholder Relationships

  • Develop long-term relationships with strategic partners across Central America, being a trusted advisor and reference in Taste & Wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creation, and Operations teams to create integrated and distinctive solutions.

Innovation and Sustainability

  • Align business objectives with Givaudan's global sustainability and corporate responsibility goals.
  • Support EHS management system activities to strengthen workplace health and safety practices.

Legal Representative and Financial Indicators

  • Ensure compliance with the site expense budget.
  • Achieve the Divisional Contribution (DC) target for the assigned area (Central America).
  • Oversee proper and efficient financial management use of company funds, operating expenses, and corporate cards to ensure agreement on internal policies, approved budgets, and transparency principles.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal requirements in the countries where Givaudan sites are located within the assigned region.
  • Sign contracts, commercial agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other legal documents as authorized.
  • Ensure participation in ordinary and extraordinary shareholders' meetings.
  • Provide all required information for regulatory compliance (e.g., transfer pricing documentation).
  • Keep all legal, contractual, and business information archived and secured.

 

You - Your professional profile includes:

  • University degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Agroindustrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biochemistry, Business Administration, or other related fields
  • 8+ years of experience in relevant roles within the Food or Ingredients industry
  • 3+ years of experience of people management and management experience of other areas and internal resource management
  • We require fluency in English (90%).
  • Develop and oversee/approve comprehensive Account/Category Plans
