Sales Manager Central America, your future Position?

 

We are currently looking to grow and expand our Fragrances & Beauty (F&B) Sales team in Central America (CAM) and have opened up this strategic role to provide more intimate support for our expanding customer base, increasing the market share for our key solution offerings.

 

You will be based in Guatemala and report to the North Latam Commercial Head. You will develop the F&B business plan in the CAM region targeting strategic customers and distributors, providing them with game-changing solutions and thereby help achieve Givaudan’s purpose and commercial objectives in North Latam.

In this exciting role, you will:

  • Grow Givaudan’s business in CAM with designated accounts & distributors by managing topline and bottom line.
  • Formulate a sales plan for your region, with month-wise phasing and align the same with the overall business strategy in terms of the products, market segments and customers.
  • Be responsible for sales & business development, collection, inventory planning, and building a project pipeline with a set of direct accounts and distributors.
  • Manage and Build Channel sales - Work closely with Channel Partners & provide solutions to them based on market needs. Participate and provide inputs in setting up the annual targets of channel partners. Carry out quarterly and annual sales review meetings with them, Identify the gaps if any and jointly work to achieve the targets.
  • Report on sales and profit evolution at least once a month during the closure of the month.
  • Develop an excellent understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition.
  • Cultivate and manage customer relationships within the portfolio of accounts and distributors.
  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and maintain customer information.
  • Create a broad base of new business opportunities/projects and customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to help projects successfully cross the finish line.
  • Lead negotiation on pricing agreements, manage credit, customer contracts, pricing, rebates, etc. for key accounts & distributors
  • Develop & Deliver internal and customer presentations.
  • In the future and as the business develops, manage and ensure appropriate local organization and staffing, including recruiting, job descriptions and back-up solutions while also managing goals, performance, skills and competencies of the future team.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline. Having a Management Master’s degree would be an added advantage.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in B2B or B2C Sales in Business Development or Key Account Management role(s), preferably with companies in the Flavours, Fragrances, Food, Beverage, Ingredients, Chemicals or Packaging sectors.
  • Good knowledge of F&B customers, competition, and an existing network in CAM region will be ideal.
  • At least 5 years’ experience building and managing high performance teams.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English.
  • Excellent business and commercial knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the designated market (30% of your time).
  • Computer knowledge – MS Office and other relevant platforms.
