Junior Key Account Manager – Hamburg, Germany – Your future position?

 

We are currently looking to hire a Junior Key Account Manager for one of our global clients with a focus on Personal Care.

You will be an integral part of our sales team and build upon and provide an intimate relationship with our customers. You will develop business plans with the aim to deliver sales and profit growth through game-changing Fragrance solutions and help achieve Givaudan’s purpose and commercial objectives.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, the role reports to the Key International Account Manager and offers excellent opportunities for both personal and professional development.

 

In this exciting role, you will:

 

Develop our business

·         Grow Givaudan business by managing top and bottom lines

·         Effectively Manage Personal Care Projects, coordinating multi-functional teams: including the defense of existing business and pursuing new opportunities.

·         Develop and implement Strategic Account Plans with our cross-functional teams to grow the business for core listed and attack non-core listed categories

·         Create inspirational/trends presentations and events with our cross-functional teams to generate new business opportunities

·         Identify customer requirements and follow up on customer submission

·         Follow KPIs versus targets (Sales, Gross Profit, win rate, service level…) to build sustainable growth

 

Bring your passion

·         Cultivate intimate customer relationships, including strong and direct connections with fragrance management team, Marketing, R&D, and CMI teams at the client side.

·         Attract new business by identifying and creating mutual business opportunities.

·         Build a project pipeline, ensuring the most efficient usage of Givaudan resources.

Position our products

·         Monitor fragrance trends, competitor activity, and product development.

·         Identify value drivers for the customer and promote Givaudan’s value proposition by strategically positioning Givaudan products and technologies.

Lead focus projects and customer briefs

·         Coordinate key projects in Europe and provide the needed support to the different regions.

·         Manage customer briefs and proactive innovation and development projects.

·         Using your project management skills and ability to motivate and guide others, you are the centre point assuring overall success

You

Your professional profile includes: 

 

·         Graduate or higher degree

·         5+ years’ experience in the perfume industry in sales & development function or in a FMCG company as a sales & marketing manager with an appeal for the B2B business & the world of fragrances.

·         Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, team player with a collaborative mindset.

·         Strong project management skills. 

·         Creative and global mindset with a strong appeal for sustainable and sensorial innovations.

·         Interest for the Beauty Care Category and associated macro-trends.

·         Ability to create very strong connections internally and with different stakeholders at the client side to deliver mutual growth.

·         Ability to manage stress and work effectively under pressure.

·         Great command of English & German, other languages are a plus.
