Job Purpose

Highly experienced sales/business manager/leader trained in assigned sub-regional account management and team development. Has P&L responsibility, business/function leadership and people development responsibilities for a small to medium area.


 

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Leads the Strategic effort in Indonesia. Leads the development and implementation of country strategy, driving Partner / Premier Customer’s growth plans as well as fragmented markets development (distributors). 

  • Ensures that strategy is translated into marketable actions and that targets set are achieved. 

  • Ensures Givaudan’s leading position in the flavour industry is successfully leveraged in all customers and supports the country efforts to achieve sustainable and profitable business growth.

  • Drive sales growth continuously and monitor market performance in line with our Company’s KPIs for the sub-region. Take corrective actions when necessary to ensure sales and profitability goals are achieved.

  • Ensures development and delivery of differentiated ADP s. Develop ADPs to drive sales growth and profitability for Partner and Premier Accounts. Build sustainable partnerships with Partner and Premier Accounts. Develop relationship matrix and establish relationships with senior level management. 

  • Ensures appropriate commercial resources are prepared to execute business development with targeted customers.  (Commercial Organization). Manage Sales Team with full account and business management responsibility to protect and grow assets for designated account(s) within the country, segment or category. Develop talent pool to ensure succession of key roles is in place.

  • Provides input into regional marketing segment team on country needs and directs the development of business cases to justify resources attention. 

  • Manage and support the team members with all pricing negotiations and activities within the country, segment, category, or specific geographic area

  • Initiate, manage and monitor key projects with FC&A, Marketing, Regional innovation and operations teams.  



 

Functional & Technical Skills 

 

  • Thorough understanding of flavour landscape for designated country, segment, category, or specific geographic area is preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of key account/segment/region/country/category, management - including market, general business climate, competitive landscape, financial potentials is critical.

  • Ability to build and maintain effective customer relationships with customer decision makers and influencers; effectively enlists participation of company senior managers to influence decision makers.

  • Ability to work and perform in a Matrix organisation. Manage influencing others and effectively be able to engage Sales team in periodic reviews of performance ADPs and action plans.

  • Extensive knowledge of pricing guidelines and specific understanding of local trends and practice.

 

Primary Qualifications (education / experience)

 

  • University degree in related field – Business / Marketing 

  • At least 15 years successful in sales, marketing or customer relationship experience in food or related industry.

  • Track record of generating a broad base of new business opportunities.
