Pricing Analyst - Your future position?

 

The Pricing Analyst plays a key role in partnering with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Commercial teams to drive strategic pricing decisions that balance competitiveness and profitability. The analyst will work towards being a business partner who supports customer negotiations, contributes to cross-functional discussions, and ensures pricing aligns with both market dynamics and business objectives. Based in Indonesia, the analyst will also actively support price setting, price maintenance, and margin improvement initiatives while helping build a disciplined, value-driven pricing culture in the region.

Price Setting and Maintenance

  • Execute daily pricing tasks such as computing standard prices, maintaining and updating price lists, and developing target cost recommendations for Sales teams.
  • Support timely and accurate pricing responses for customer briefs and lead price preparation for key commercial offers.

 

Margin Protection and Optimization

  • Monitor gross margins regularly and identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments in response to raw material cost changes or margin enhancement needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Procurement to resolve cost-related challenges.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration and Customer Engagement

  • Partner closely with Sales, Commercial, and cross-functional teams to ensure pricing strategies support customer and business goals.
  • Participate in pricing discussions with customers as needed—presenting proposals, clarifying agreements, and supporting commercial negotiations.
  • Play an active role in pricing decisions for key accounts, driving alignment between internal teams and customer expectations.

 

Data Accuracy and Policy Compliance

  • Maintain high data integrity across pricing processes, ensuring accuracy in system entries and updates.
  • Adhere to internal pricing guidelines and support the enforcement of pricing policies across the business.

 

Process Improvement and Project Support

  • Contribute to local or regional pricing projects and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Support efforts to simplify pricing tools, workflows, or data transparency for stakeholders.

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3–4 years of experience in pricing, finance, commercial operations, or sales coordination; experience in F&B, fragrance, or related manufacturing sectors is a plus.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to accuracy.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Proficient in Excel and business systems (SAP is advantageous).
  • Ability to work across functions and communicate effectively.
  • Comfortable presenting pricing proposals and supporting customer negotiations.
