Senior CSI Manager - Your future position?

 

The Senior CSI Manager sets and manages the CSI learning agenda in line with Indonesia business strategy and ensures that CSI resources are effectively leveraged against relevant business priorities. The Senior CSI Manager ensures that CSI projects and initiatives effectively contribute to Segment big bets and increase win rates with Customers. The Senior CSI Manager partners with key constituents in the business to deliver CSI project outcomes with impact and measurable actionability for the business. The Senior CSI Manager represents the Givaudan expertise in Consumer Sensory Insights (CSI) with key Customers. The Senior CSI Manager plays a critical role in building an effective CSI team and in developing CSI talents.

 

Manage and deliver the CSI learning agenda (for a given Segment / Geography):

  • Undertake, scope and manage CSI projects and initiatives to deliver the yearly CSI learning agenda and strike the right balance between reactive and proactive projects
  • Synthesize data from different sources to draw more powerful conclusions and generate more holistic insights
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver business solutions informed by relevant facts and insights
  • Lead and promote foresight and trend program cross-segments
  • Manage external agency relationship to foster value adding and sustainable partnerships

 

Deploy insights with impact and influence strategies:

  • Generate and deploy insights with impact cross-functionally to drive tangible business-related applications
  • Be timely, creative and practical in how deploy insights to drive actions
  • Contribute to customer intimacy by representing Givaudan expertise in Consumer Sensory Insights with key Customers.
  • Conduct meta-analyses / consolidation of knowledge against relevant strategic and business agenda to advance expertise and knowledge on key relevant topics in the business and support category/geography strategic development
  • Proactively connect with peers in other regions to encourage cross-pollination of learning/knowledge

 

Contribute to CSI best practices and functional excellence:

  • Ensure that spectrum of CSI techniques and expertise are adequately leveraged across projects
  • Identify, develop and help embed new innovative CSI capabilities
  • Lead cross-segment CSI capability building projects i.e. Sense It®, Systems, new methods etc.
  • Take a leading and active role in managing and deploying CSI knowledge for the geography in the Business
  • Contribute to and help deliver relevant CSI training modules to develop Insights capabilities in the Business

 

Manage and develop CSI talent:

  • Manage Jr. CSI associates to effectively deliver the CSI agenda
  • Develop Jr. CSI associates i.e. perform performance reviews and develop and activate development plans
  • Supervise Jr. CSI associates with sensory lab and panel management (e.g. budget, expert sensory panel contracts, performance monitoring, team building)

Your professional profile includes:

 

Functional Competencies

  • Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Market Research, Food Science, Chemistry, Food Engineering or related area AND/OR min 8-10 years. functional and leadership experience in industry (Flavour House, FMCG).
  • Min 2-3 years people management experience.

 

General expertise:

  • Generate and deploy insights with impact – Advanced.
  • Identify and influence strategies – Advanced.
  • Manage and deploy knowledge – Advanced.

 

Technical expertise:

  • Sensory Science (Essential).
  • Consumer Sensory Insights (Advanced).
  • Consumer & Category Insights (Advanced).

 

Leadership Competencies

  • Business Acumen, Decision Quality, Innovation Management, Courage, Strategic Agility, Developing Others, Customer Focus, Collaboration, Dealing with Ambiguity, Nimble Learning.

 

Other

  • Experience across a broad range of Consumer Sensory and Consumer insight techniques and approaches
  • Customer side experience in a Consumer & Market Insights or Sensory Insights capacity a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and local language)
  • Demonstrate ability to build advocacy of the Consumer Voice in the Business
