Process Engineer, your future position?

 

You will be part of our Taste & Wellbeing (Flavours) business in Mexico. As a Process Engineer, you will manage the industrialization of new flavour products, ensuring the efficiency of the production process and the products quality, improving and standardizing the processes related to product formulation to increase their efficiency, produce repeatability and reduce production costs.

 

You will report into de Process Technology Team Lead, and you will work onsite at our manufacturing mill located at Cuernavaca, Morelos.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Create and update manufacturing instructions for new flavours produced in our plant, and ensure they are available in the ERP (SAP).
  • Follow up of new flavours being manufactured and perform its escalation process.
  • Periodically perform process confirmation of products manufactured in the site.
  • Provide support in process adjustments required by Production team.
  • Participate in issue solving exercises with Production area, being a technical specialist.
  • Improve production processes through statistical process control strategies for issues related to formulas, processes and quality.
  • Perform tests to improve production processes.
  • Create standards for production processes and process improvements.
  • Work with multifunctional teams from the Operations area to support project management.
  • Keep area indicators updated.
  • Provide trainings to Operations staff on process standards.
  • Perform transfer of product and production processes to our tollers (manufacturing vendors).
  • Perform tests on tollers for process validation.
  • Provide tollers with technical support on products and manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate manufacturing process training for tollers and Integrated Solutions projects (internal and external).

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • University degree in Engineering (Foods, Chemical. Mechanical or Industrial).
  • At least 3 years of experience in Process Engineering-related roles at manufacturing sites with background in the chemicals or food industries.
  • Yellow, Green or Black Belts certifications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies for liquids and emulsions
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence and Problem Resolution.
  • Experience in project management using TPM, Indicators, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical tools such as Minitab.
  • Experience of product processing and industrialization processes.
  • Advanced level of Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
  • Knowledge of indicators management.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (such as FSSC, AIB, ISO, GMP, GHP, HACCP).
  • Upper-intermediate level of English, both oral and written, is a must-have.
  • Availability to travel within Mexico 3-7 days every two months.
