Regional Sampling Manager - LATAM

Sampling Manager LATAM, your future position? 

 

In this role, you will guide the sampling departments of Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing sites across the Latam region, from production to customer delivery with strong focus on safety, quality, on-time execution and cost efficiency. You will have a strong impact in our customer satisfaction through delivering samples of our world-class products.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

 

Strategy design and execution

  • Provide key supply and production capacity inputs to the Regional Operations business plans and participate in the design of the regional sampling strategy as well as in the definition of related objectives based on input provided by other functions, e.g. Commercial or FC&A.
  • Oversee the design and execution of tactical and operational plans to meet regional Operations objectives.

 

Function management

  • Review and approve production plans based on business objectives, available budgets and production capacity.
  • Oversee the organization of logistics, supply, and stock of (raw) materials for production of sample products as well as in- and out-bound shipping requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify productivity improvement areas whether in terms of e.g. processes, production equipment, systems, machinery maintenance or safety.
  • Provide guidance in regards to manufacturing processes, operations costs, production feasibility to design and development teams, overseeing calendar and removing bottlenecks during sample production process.
  • Review, maintain and optimize vendor partnerships to secure flawless production and on-time product delivery while containing costs.
  • Monitor compliance with work safety regulations and deploy communication and training initiatives on a regular basis to address shortcomings.
  • Adapt production processes and procedures to ensure that samples are complying with consumer health and safety regulations.
  • Execute the annual operating plan within ap-proved budget.  People management
  • Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes within the assigned Sampling organization and validate related results.
  • Work with the regional Operations management and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a regional talent pipeline.
  • Drive the development and promotion of talents within Operations at regional level.

Your professional profile includes: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Operations Management or related discipline. 
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in a Technical field is preferred. 
  • 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations with strong background in supply chain planning, quality and/or materials management, including exposure to organizational change initiatives and systems implementations.
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in people management.
  • Solid experience in project management, preferably leading regional teams.
  • Knowledge about Lean and six sigma tools.
  • Expertise in product industrialization.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to teach and coach others.
  • Understanding of Quality and GMP affecting the food industry.
  • Knowledge of Safety and QC functions and requirements.
  • Understanding of accounting, financial, and MRP systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of business process/system redesign.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX).
