Process Technician

 

We are looking for a Process Technician for our site in Tulisa Park, South Africa. As a Process Technician you will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance and installation of equipment under regular supervision and in a timely manner to minimise disruptions of site operations. In this exiting role you will:


Preventative Maintenance:
You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and/or repairs of production and facility equipment, proactively identifying and resolving recurring maintenance issues in theassigned area of activity.

 

Electronic and Mechanical Installations:
You will conduct electrical or mechanical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation and/or controls.

 

Safety:
You will work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, AIB,OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA and internal safety guidelines. You will maintain level of housekeeping / sanitation / food safety and safety which meets Company’s standards and guidelines.


Lean:
You will participate in lean activities.

 

Ad Hoc:
You will be required to perform other tasks as assigned.

Your Professional Profile includes:
• Minimum N4.
• Must be a qualified with a recognized trade test (red seal).
• In addition, knowledge of the following: compressors, boilers, pumps and gearboxes.
• Overall work experience 5+ years in FMCG as an electrician/Millwright
• Experience of fault finding and repair of electrical systems, including Mechanical knowledge
• Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly and testing of electronic,pneumatic and electrical devices.
• Panel wiring.
• Ability to interpret and understand electrical drawings.
• Demonstrate the ability of fault finding techniques (electrical and mechanical).
• Basic understanding of continuous improvement.
• Must be available during Weekends as required
