Application Technician Protein (m/f/d)
You work in Kemptthal, Switzerland. You are part of the Global S&T Organization and report to the Category Technical Leader for Plant Proteins. Our mission is to develop ingredients and technologies delivering great food experiences. You will comprise primary responsibility for food extrusion-based process and product development in the area of plant proteins for meat analogues.

You will:
Demonstrate Technical Expertise:
- Build bench top and pilot plant experiments/trials, individually or as a member of a team
- Support your team in achieving short-term (< 1 year) and long-term (2+ years) project goals
- Be an operator for extrusion and share information on extrusion with the team
- Prepare raw materials for process testing
- Ship and receive incoming raw materials and outgoing finished samples
- Help with process engineers testing which may include operating equipment, taking data, pre-weighing, batching
- Prepare samples for internal evaluations
- Support customer's meetings and internal events
Manage laboratory activities:
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all experimental work
- Participate in projects and group meetings
- Ensure that strict hygiene and food safety standards are met in the lab and pilot area
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following safety policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines
- Organize lab and office supplies and raw material

You have:
- Apprenticeship, Bachelor's Degree, High school diploma or Polytechnic in Science, Chemistry, Biology or related area; or related area experience in industry such as food service/facility management
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of industry experience with high school diploma
- Experience with extruders is an advantage, in a food/beverage manufacturing facility including mounting, dismounting and sanitation
- Experience operating mixing equipment for liquids, powders, and thick paste-like materials is an advantage
- Hands-on including mechanical and equipment operation experience
- Working knowledge of ingredient functionality and flavor, formulation is a plus
- Team player and flexible
- Work well in a diverse team environment with guidance
- Good level of English oral and written
