EHS CoE Regional Process Safety Manager EMEA - Your next role?
As the EHS CoE Regional Process Safety Manager, you will you will be a Subject Matter Expert responsible for developing policies, processes, and systems specific to process safety management in the production and laboratories of flavors and fragrances business, including technologies such as spray drying, powder blending, extraction, compounding and chemical reactions. Your role will ensure the systematic application of Process Safety Management System, ensuring the implementation of PSM foundational elements such as Commitment to Process Safety, Understand hazards and risks, Manage Risks and Learn from experience, while promoting a robust Process Safety culture across the organization. You will support and guide sites Process Safety Experts. Additionally, active participation in cross-functional projects and collaboration with multiple departments and managing external PSM vendors experts is expected. You will report directly to the Head of Global Process Safety.
You will directly report to the Global Process Safety Director.
Multiple location: Vernier (Switzerland), Kemptthal (Switzerland), Makó (Hungary), Ashford (UK), Naarden (Netherlands), Barneveld (Netherlands), Dortmund (Germany)
In this exciting role, your main responsibilities will be:

PSM system leadership: Oversee the process safety management system for the F&F business and technologies, ensuring compliance with corporate and, legal safety standards ensuring the implementation of PSM foundational elements Commitment to Process Safety, Understand hazards and risks, Manage Risks and Learn from experience

Risk Assessment Leadership: Lead process risk identification and assessment initiatives in collaboration with Operations, Laboratories engaging multiple stakeholders across the region & sites, carrying out PSM assessments, plant inspections and audits

Technical Support & Action Implementation: Support the development, prioritization, and execution of risk assessment actions to address identified Process safety risks

Operational Partnership: Collaborate with operations to provide guidance and expertise on process safety in a field of control hazards of chemical and compounding processes of operational sites in the Design of the plant, the Integrity of equipment, and the Operation of the facility F&F technologies

Methodology Development: Implement and enhance risk analysis methodologies, process safety guidance, technical guidelines, and foster a culture of PSM

Risk Portfolio Management: Ensure regional PRA site catalog Governance and risk portfolio calibration related to process safety

Cultural Improvement: Contribute to enhancing process safety knowledge and culture on-site and beyond, throughout the implementation of Process Safety Management Training and Education

Cross-Functional Contribution: Actively participate in cross-functional projects for the site

Managing external process safety consultants.
Your successful profile includes:
-
MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or Chemistry / Organic Chemistry with at least 8 years of experience in Chemical Process Safety

Experience working in a multicultural environment and within a matrix organization, leading PSM in a chemical and compounding production plant, laboratories and R&D chemical plant

Experience in a field of control hazards of chemical and compounding processes of operational sites in the Design of the plant, the Integrity of equipment, and the Operation of the facility

Solid knowledge of ATEX, Safety Instrumented Systems

Certificate in Process Safety Management such as CCPS, NEBOSH PSM is beneficial

Fluency in English and local language

Experience developing and delivering training to enhance knowledge and behaviors at multiple levels of the organization
