Portfolio & Product Manager - Distribution Europe

We are looking for you to join our team and take on the role of Portfolio and Product Manager - Distribution Europe ensuring that our distributors can successfully drive and activate Givaudan products. This encompasses the ‘champions collection’ which are our top selling references and also tailored marketing campaigns targeted at Distributors to drive the commercial success in the market. You will use Givaudan's product portfolio, solutions and consumer evidence to support the growth with distributors which are a significant part of our business.

You will be based in Kemptthal, Switzerland and report to the Head of Distribution, Europe.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Bring the strategy for Champions Collection to ensure it is relevant, streamlined and profitable
  • Support the commercial strategy by developing a dedicated Distributor promotional programme
  • Identify growth opportunities for the distribution product portfolio, in close collaboration with Givaudan distribution team and Distribution customer needs
  • Drive distributor collection use towards a one-to-many approach

Innovation and Promotion

  • Adapt Givaudan innovation promotion collections and marketing materials to meet Distributor needs to drive Givaudan business within Distributors
  • Identify products and product groups to promote, based on Givaudan proposition and Distributor market needs. Build marketing materials with clear reason to believe

Execution

  • Maintain overall collection set-up for the distribution product portfolio to enhance transparency and support users in efficient product selection
  • Ensure compliance of distribution product portfolio with changing requirements from regulatory and operations
  • Ensure profitability through promotion of high value products

Knowledge and Systems

  • Use collection reports and processes to build, manage and maintain streamlined and compliant collection
  • Manage Connect selection system (as long as exclusively used for Distributors)
  • Monitor and assess KPIs with the ambition of driving growth from the distributor collection

People and Organization

  • Train distributor contacts in collection use and reason to believe
  • Regional scope (20 countries)

Technical Competencies

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in relevant field
  • A good, commercially minded communicator with a solid technical background
  • Good project management skills with the ability to lead complex regional portfolio projects
  • Understanding of most food applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience in customers' food manufacturing environment
  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to internal and external partners, can talk to external partners (Distributors) and explain internal challenges and opps in flavours and ingredients
  • Experience with many of the flavour reactions/interactions in common food products
  • Experience with Sensory, Consumer Understanding and Brands and Data processing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a virtual matrix organisation
  • Translate customer and market needs into regionally relevant collections
  • Organised and able to structure complexity
  • Supervise and guide Flavour Portfolio Experts in local markets
