Quality Manager

For our Innovation Center in Kemptthal we are looking for a Quality Manager with customer experience. You will develop and implement a Food Safety and Quality Management Systems for Sweet Goods, Dairy and Savoury Application Labs. Moreover you will design Food Safety Trainings and Knowledge Sharing Programs. You will coordinate internal audits and initiate strategic changes to reach compliance standards. You will report to the technical category manager.


Please take note this is a temporary position for 2 years.

You will:

Develop and implement a Food Safety and Quality Management System for application labs

  • Map out the essential gaps towards the industry standards and propose a concrete plan on how to close the gaps 
  • Develop the necessary programs (e.g. guidelines, procedures, work instructions) and validate with all relevant partners
  • Determine feasibility to accept food safety related customer requirements based on established Food Safety Management System
  • Identify and develop go forward strategy for safety and quality to meet customer and industry trends, expectations and requirements

Develop Training and Knowledge Sharing Programs

  • Facilitate systematic food safety expertise and skill development through training, coaching and best practice sharing
  • Develop , support and arrange training following the Foods Safety and Quality Management Systems
  • Establish and mentor the local HACCP Team

Implement and perform internal Food Safety inspection

  • Establish Food Safety Inspections schema for IC labs
  • Follow up on findings from Food Safety Inspections

You have:

  • Technical University degree in Food Science or Biology or business degree with technical experience at least at master level
  • Related experience of 5 or more years, 3+ years in equivalent position
  • Food or flavour industry experience
  • Experience in Food Safety Management Systems like FSSC22000, BRC, AIB
  • Solid project management skills
  • Business fluent in English written and verbal; additional language skills are an advantage
