Raw Material Category Buyer - fruits

Raw material Categoy Buyer - fruits  - Your future position?

You will Develop strategies (and related tactical plans) to source small spend raw material categories and secure supply for the fruit category in the Naturex portfolio following business plans. You will be based out of Kemptthal reporting to the Global Category Manager Fruits & Pectins. 

 

You Will:

Managing the Portfolio: You will negotiate contracts globally. You will select and manage our suppliers being the owner of key supplier communications. You will ensure vendor performance at target levels by auditing them regularly. You will ensure ensure contract cover for materials and supplier compliance to contracts. You will identify opportunities for portfolio optimization and involve creation and manufacturing in development of optimization plans.

 

Creating sourcing strategy: You will develop and implement  Raw Material category strategies. You will analyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolio. You will lead sourcing strategy development within cross functional team for important categories.

 

Managing relationships: You will communicate with  internal stakeholders any market conditions changes which may affect the Business. You will actively support the responsible sourcing projects implementation and provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when needed. You will work closely with our 2 production sites in Switzerland as well. 

 

Optimizing costs: You will provide price forecast and market trends for your categories. You will develop cost reduction projects and input other teams with information for business planning processes.

You Have:

  • Commercial or Purchasing focused Degree or equivalent experience. Agronomy is a must. 
  • at least 3 years of experience in raw material procurement preferably with fruits / vegetables
  • Specific technical and market knowledge in the category
  • International exposure in previous role
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Creative and curious personality being ready to find your ways in an agile environment
