As Research Investigator (m/f/d) you will manage long-term projects and be responsible for the scientific strength of the project portfolio in our Delivery Systems team in Givaudan’s Taste and Wellbeing division. You will be part of a supportive, diverse and responsible team which is already curious to meet you.  

 

This role will be preferably based in Kemptthal (Switzerland).

 

 
You will:
 

  • Contribute to develop the Delivery Systems strategy
  • Propose and help organize appropriate research projects according to the strategy and provide technical support
  • Plan and manage complex research projects and programs
  • Be responsible for the performance of our Innovation Communities
  • Identify and maintain a network of academic consultants in relevant fields
  • Assemble, distribute and maintain a list of external technical conferences of potential interest to Delivery Group members
  • Periodically review and present Intellectual Property of relevance to the Delivery Group
  • Organize Delivery Workshops to capture tacit knowledge of experienced group members, and train newer members in utilizing perennial technologies

 
 

You have: 
 

  • A PhD in natural or life sciences or engineering or similar 
  • + 10 years of experience in the flavour & fragrance or food and beverage industry
  • Extensive scientific expertise and strong knowledge in flavor and food ingredient encapsulation
  • Extensive business knowledge and experience
  • A proven entrepreneurial mindset for the development of differentiating technologies and products
  • An excellent understanding of Intellectual Property needs of a research team
  • A proven track record of initiating, coordinating, designing and executing complex technical programs
  • A proven track record of solving highly technical or a broad range of complex problems
  • The ability to mentor other scientific professionals
  • The ability to clearly translate complex scientific results into technical reports
  • Fluent in English, German nice to have
