Senior Savoury Flavourist- your future position?

You will be part of a team of very experienced Flavourists and in a position to develop your knowledge and expertise together with your colleagues inside and outside your own team.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative professional who can be a good addition to our innovative and team work culture. In this position you will work for the Middle-East and Africa region by managing the following tasks and responsibilities listed below:

 

  • Release your creativity and prepare flavour samples as requested for customer briefs, applications needs, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, etc. Formulate new flavour creations or modify existing flavours to meet customer requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development at an expert level for selected flavour types. Coordinate the evaluation of materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for flavour creation
  • Craft relationship with the biggest customers and maintain effective relationships with a broad number of complex partners to gain their trust and respect. Execute daily brief-related tasks and fully manage assigned projects and provide flavours which meet all defined customer needs and manufacturing practices, sample scale-up, production requirements, regulatory compliance, etc. as well as leading customer visits for flavor creation and product presentations at the customer when required
  • Serve as a technical expert and leader to resolve flavour production issues, customer complaints and complete ownership of created flavours. Coach, train, mentor and manage flavour assistants and flavourists.

Your professional profile includes

 

  • 7-10 years experience as a Flavourist after completion of your Flavourist training program
  • Flavour creation experience in savoury category preferably focusing on the Middle-East and Africa region
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required, any additional language is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of raw materials and flavour ingredients, flavour formulation, modifications and adjustments, solvent and carrier systems, delivery systems, analytical methodologies and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to try innovative tools in flavour creation, building a strong trials plan and communicate the outcome to the Flavour Creation & Application community
  • Expert tasting skills and the ability to create and adjust flavour formulations that meet the taste requirements of customers
  • Ability to build internal relationships with colleagues and present the Givaudan capabilities, working with your colleagues in partnership to work together on the best solution
  • Being able to direct and motivate project teams
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
