As a part of Givaudan Taste & Wellbeing, Givaudan Flavor Ingredients (GFI) leverages decades of experience in ingredients to assist flavor companies in their product formulation. Our global team of sales, flavorists, technical experts, customer service, and marketing representatives combine their knowledge and expertise in ingredients, including essential oils, extracts, flavorings, and functional ingredients. 

Reporting to the North American Commercial Director Givaudan Flavor Ingredients (GFI), you will manage and grow your accounts through top and bottom lines and by generating a broad base of new business opportunities. Givaudan Flavor Ingredients (GFI) brings together our highest quality ingredients and the best of Ungerer and Naturex, which are now both part of Givaudan. While this role is considered remote, being close to our Technical Teams in New Jersey has some preference.

• Strategic Engagement: Cultivate customer relationships with important decision-makers, positioning us as a preferred supplier and ensuring we are positioned to participate in RFP's, briefs and on core supplier lists. We are focused on delivering a positive customer experience through innovation, collaboration, and service. 

• Account Management: Lead and influence strategic account planning. Develop comprehensive action plans for main accounts. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies, positioning, strengths and weaknesses, and competition data. Manage brief pipeline to achieve growth plans. 

• Negotiate and Collaborate: Manage large commercial projects. Ensure visibility and exposure for us at customers by maintaining and guiding appropriate call frequency with essential product demonstrations and technical to technical interface. Follow up on customer inquiries. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements following company guidelines. 

You? 

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Management, Marketing or Food Science 
• 6+ years experience in sales, marketing or customer relationship experience in food or related industry
• Experience incorporating comprehensive knowledge and analysis in presentations 
• Understanding of the flavor ingredients industry, including consumer and industry trends
• Knowledge of customer strategies, programs, commercial needs and product launch processes and competitor activity
