About the role:
The CAPEX Project Manager will lead and direct large/high-priority CAPEX Engineering projects often requiring considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. He/She will formally report to the Head of Engineering EAME and with dotted line to the Head of Site Operations, but will report to the Steering Committee for the duration of the assigned project(s).
You will:
People management:
- Assemble and manage the project team (internal, external resources)
- Monitor project team performance and complete performance reviews (also for future use)
- Coach, mentor and motivate project team
Function management:
- Drive day-to-day execution of assigned strategic project (or phase) and manage project resources to drive a successful project delivery
- Prepare the project planning and financial forecasts/estimates for all phases
- Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication to the project steering committee and relevant stakeholders with regular reporting on status, KPIs, project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
- Liaise with customer organization to ensure consistent and aligned needs are met
- Manage Project (and esp. scope changes) according to the globaly CapEx/PM processes
- Ensure adherence to Quality & EHS standards (project management and technical)
- Drive selection of engineering suppliers and vendors together with IM&S, assisting negotiation and dispute management as needed
- Facilitate and resolve conflicts among project team members and/or other stakeholders
- Provide consultation and participate to workshops, peer-reviews and Post Implementation Reviews in other Projects
- Participate to the development of global CapEx/PM best practices & standards when requested
Decision-making authority:
- Authorization of scope changes to Steering Committee
You have:
- BSc/MSc in Engineering or equivalent experience, Project Management certification (PMI, PRINCE2) an advantage
- Fluent in English and Hungarian
- Proven experience in leading large green/brown field projects (5+ years) preferably in food/chemical industry
- Experience in complex/matrix organizations
- Experience in working with diverse cultures and multidiscipline specialists
- Experience in contracts management and supplier selection processes
- Design and construction of food/chemical plants
- Solid knowledge of CapEx and related financial aspects
- Willingness to travel
