Controller - Makó (Hungary) - Your future position?

 

 

Overall mission:

 

As a member of the site controlling team and reporting to the Site Controller, perform cost accounting, inventory control and cost control activities for the site’s manufacturing and supply chain functions (Operations); support requirements associated with the month-end financial close. You will be located in Makó. The position is opening with a 1 year-long fix-term contract.

 

You will:

 

  • Provide support to the Site Controller in other areas of manufacturing & supply chain management controlling

  • Be a Partner for Operations and Supply chain management, HR helping these departments to achieve their goals and making them aware of the financial risks and opportunities

  • Perform activities like: Performance management, Lean, cost control activities for the site’s manufacturing & supply chain functions; support requirements associated with the month-end financial close, prepare the GL corrections and accruals during the month end closure

  • Ensure compliance with the Group policies and Statutory regulations

  • Analyse and report on spending by accounts and cost centers for above mentioned functions; periodically meet with functional heads and cost center managers, to ensure they have full transparency on spending, discuss variances and measure cost-saving opportunities

  • Analysis of expenses by responsibilities, meet with functional heads and cost center managers, to ensure full transparency on spending , discuss variances and measure cost-saving opportunities

  • Analyse slow-moving and obsolete inventories, discards / write-offs; monitor completeness of the permanent cycle count and analyse inventory count results

  • Update of standard costs at least once a year; analyse process orders and purchase price variances to standard on a monthly basis; ensure product costs are evaluated, both at standard and actual costs. Pay attention to the appropriate allocation of freight and duty costs absorption.

  • Identify problem areas in processes and work with the teams to produce solutions

  • Support ad-hoc problem resolution

 

General rules

 

  • Ensure conformity with food safety (HACCP) and quality management regulations (e.g. FSSC 22000)

  • During working , You will keep the Food Safety principles in mind and aim to increase food safety awareness in all circumstances

  • Comply with Health and Safety and Fire protection regulations

  • Comply with management regulations and other directives and act accordingly

 

You:

 

  • Education: Business School, Economics

  • Fluent English and Hungarian (written & spoken)

  • 1-3 years experience in similar function(s) in small to middle-sized preferably international companies

  • Knowledge of SAP costing (CO, PM/PS.),

  • Participation in ERP (SAP) developments

  • Knowledge of advanced functions in Excel (formulas, pivot tables)

  • Report creation experience
