EHS Manager - Makó (Hungary) - Your future position?
Overall mission:
As EHS Manager you will oversee the Environmental, Health and Safety requirements on the Makó operation site. You will have managerial responsibilities, leading a team of EHS professionals. You will be located at Makó, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
You will:
- Coordinated equipment commissioning on EHS acceptance test
- Implement and support Givaudan's Environment, Health and Safety policies, programs and procedures at Makó operations site
- Assist the Operations Manager with health and safety issues, technical and personal safety equipment and compliance with legal regulations
- Ensure compliance with Hungarian EHS regulations and Givaudan directives
- Conduct EHS-related training for all staff, e.g., fire drills, health and safety, evacuation drills, behavioral
- Promote and advocate for safe behaviors and protection of the environment throughout the site
- Conduct risk assessments for the Makó site
- Monitor the exposure to hazardous substances
- Develop, understand, report, and use Indicators to improve performance
- Conduct EHS inspections/audits for the site to improve our results
- Be a liaison with the community and local government authorities
- Support the elaboration/translation of SOP to comply with Hungarian occupational H&S regulations and Givaudan directives
- Monitor and document emissions of plant activities, especially related to soil, water and air pollution
- Manage emergencies and perform follow-up investigation
- Be responsible for security and the access control system
General rules:
- Comply with quality management and food safety regulations (HACCP) hygienic standards and internal regulations
- Comply with Health and Safety and Fire protection regulations and internal regulations
- Comply with management regulations and other directives and act
You:
- College or university degree
- Native Hungarian and good written and spoken level of English
- 5+ years experience in EHS field
- Appropriate national safety qualification
- Work safety technician qualification
- Fire safety expert qualification (advantage)
