Procurement Manager IM&S Hungary

About the Role

 

As a Procurement Manager based in Mako, reporting to the EAME Head of Indirect Material & Services, you will develop business procurement strategies and will also optimize cost, both P&L and balance sheet (working capital, credit terms, and stock arrangements) following the Category strategies. You will work in close collaboration with the Regional and Global Category Management, Givaudan Business Solution (GBS) and Business Stakeholders by developing a performance-driven team that will operate with autonomy.

 

You Will:

 

Procurement Strategy Implementation

 

  • Manage Procurement of Indirect Materials & Services (IM&S) for Hungary including Budapest and our Manufacturing site in Mako. 
  • Evaluate country specific functional or project sourcing specific needs 
  • Lead the local strategic sourcing process, between the departments or teams and potential vendors
  • Identify cross-site and site-specific cost-saving or cost avoidance opportunities and drive results across site departments following IM&S targets
  • Promote savings projects for Hungary and implement strategies for Hungary
  • Support the category management teams in the roll-out of strategies. This includes sourcing (including RFI/RFQ and e-auctions), pricing, rejections, supplier inventory, supply chain, obsolescence and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Implement global, regional and local agreements and support the financial targets as outlined by Global IM&S Procurement
  • Foster collaboration between global, regional and local procurement and key stakeholders by ensuring transparency
  • Provide sourcing support of local site teams and departments and collaborate with operational buying teams in GBS
  • Advise and assist other functions in the evaluation and pricing of alternate materials
  • Actively support the responsible sourcing and sustainability projects implementation (Sedex, Audits)


Supplier Management

 

  • Guide the sourcing process by developing intimate knowledge of selected supply markets through study, analysis, personal contacts with suppliers, and any other sources of market information
  • Drive vendor selection and consolidation. Initiate search for alternative services, materials or products
  • Solicit and analyse quotes, negotiate price and delivery terms and investigate invoice discrepancies.
  • Negotiate annual and long term contracts following category strategies
  • Perform local negotiations with suppliers and ensure adequate contract cover within their portfolio and for the spend as defined by the Regional IM&S Procurement Head and according to the Global Delegation of Authorities/Signatories policy
  • Investigate and approve the facilities, quality and financial responsibility of potential suppliers
  • Measure performance of vendors concerning quality of work, cost, timelines and other related parameters
  • Ensure appropriate risk evaluation and mitigation while meeting our needs
  • Facilitate sourcing and contracting issue escalation and resolution 

 

Market Research

 

  • Analyse trends and market movements for use in making sound procurement decisions
  • Make category specific recommendations to Global and Regional Category Managers 

 

Processes & Systems

 

  • Integrate the IM&S processes to conform to the guidelines developed within the SAP and SRM system
  • Maintain and expand the usage of SRM catalogues
  • Support the integration of IM&S processes in new Givaudan sites
  • Ensure Change management related to GBS

 

Stakeholder Management

 

  • Communicate to key internal stakeholders/Regional and Global Category Managers any market conditions changes which may affect the Business
  • Identify potential demand and specification changes and communicate/influence business stakeholders to drive cost improvements
  • Ensure regular presence of IM&S in all Givaudan sites in Hungary and drive integration to introduce and enforce Givaudan processes where applicable

 

You Have:

 

  • University degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 7 or more year’s experience in a Procurement within an international environment
  • Management experience in previous roles
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian
