Assistant Continuous Improvement Manager - Your future position?

 

As the Assistant Continuous Improvement Manager , you will lead the execution of manufacturing excellence initiatives within a site in order to embed best practices, reinforce a continuous improvement mindset and streamline non-value added activities. You will be based in Givaudan Ayer Keroh, Melaka while reporting to Head of Operations & ASEAN Continuous Improvement Manager.

 

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:

 

Strategy Design and Execution

  • Contribute to designing local manufacturing excellence strategy aligned with global OPEX strategy.

  • Execute projects to meet Operations objectives at the site.

 

Lean Management

  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities with Operations teams, employing Lean tools.

  • Utilize internal and external Lean networks to deploy best practices.

  • Foster innovation within teams for breakthrough improvements.

  • Identify and address waste in the Value Stream.

  • Conduct time studies to pinpoint non-value-added activities.

 

Project Management

  • Execute OPEX projects, monitoring resources and timelines.

  • Coach teams on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

 

Change Management and Capability Building

  • Support in developing change management strategies and communication plans.

  • Guide teams in effective problem-solving and change initiation.

  • Provide Lean training to enhance site Operations teams' capabilities.

 

Performance Management

  • Lead the implementation of performance management system and KPI cascading.

  • Ensure OPEX standards are implemented.

  • Collaborate across departments for synergy in improvement initiatives.

  • Establish benchmarking practices for tracking progress and evaluating impact.

  • Lead daily Continuous Improvement Culture meetings and Monthly scorecard reviews, analyzing data for actionable insights.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Additional LEAN certification is highly desirable.

  • 3 to 5 years of continuous improvement experience in relevant manufacturing field with project management exposure.

  • Experience conducting training to operators, shift leaders, and departmental managers.

  • Strong understanding of product processing and industrialization.

  • Proficiency in VSM, Time study, TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and project controlling tools.

  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Able to be independent, proactive and strong-minded.

  • Expertise in process mapping and design.

  • Familiarity with value chain diagnostics tools and knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines is advantageous.

  • Basic understanding of financial concepts(CAPEX, OPEX) and tools like SAP.
