Planning Specialist - Your future position?

 

As the Planning Specialist , you will report to the Assistant Supply Chain Manager to ensure seamless execution of production plans for intermediates and finished goods. Your main focus will be on creating efficient production schedules that meet customer demands and minimize inventory write-offs. By aligning with production requirements and maintaining optimal inventory levels, you'll play a vital role in ensuring timely delivery to our customers while maximizing operational efficiency. In this role, you will be based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

  • Develop and execute a production plan aligned with productivity and service targets.

  • Manage inventory levels to meet company targets effectively.

  • Enhance service quality for both internal and external customers.

  • Analyze production requirements using MRP and assess production capacity for timely response and product availability.

  • Gain expertise in replenishment and production systems including MRP, demand, and capacity.

  • Understand technological, food safety, and dietary requirements for production, such as allocation matrix and Halal standards.

  • Foster productive relationships with key stakeholders and teams including Customer Care, Production, Scheduling, Raw Material Planning, Logistics, Quality, Transport, and GBS Supply Planning.

  • Address and resolve supply issues, escalating when necessary, while managing exceptions.

  • Promote sharing of best practices and ideas within the team and across functional groups for efficient operations.

  • Support initiatives for cost reduction and process improvement.

  • Regularly review slow-moving and obsolete inventory for optimization.

  • Adhere to Givaudan procedures, guidelines, and best practices, particularly in safety, and implement where necessary.

Your professional profile includes:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in production planning, materials management or finished goods planning.

  • Experience in food-related, FMCG, or other manufacturing industries is ideal.

  • Proficiency in SAP software is highly preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Additional experience with demand/supply planning besides continuous improvement experience is advantageous.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable with numerical data.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Able to showcase independence and proactive approach.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.

  • Candidate must be willing to work in Melaka.
