Production Supervisor - Your future position?

 

As the Production Supervisor , you will be organizing the completion of the group manufacturing tasks based on the instructions to ensure that operations run according to established production specifications, schedules and quality standards. You will report to the Production Manager while being based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

 

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will be responsible in:

  • Lead the production team by actively engaging in physical work alongside them, ensuring continuous operations, maximum efficiency, and optimal capacity utilization of both staff and production lines.

  • Take ownership of smooth and accurate execution of machine operations for manufacturing powder and liquid products, strictly adhering to manufacturing instructions.

  • Prioritize and manage workflow to optimize resource utilization and guarantee timely product delivery to customers.

  • Oversee machine and equipment maintenance to preemptively address issues that could affect productivity, minimizing delays in customer orders.

  • Conduct in-process quality checks to uphold product specifications and deliver high-quality materials to maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Enforce compliance with work schedules, safety regulations, company policies, and management directives.

  • Champion Lean principles, actively participating in Lean initiatives and suggesting improvements for continuous enhancement in the designated area.

  • Ensure adherence to shift schedules and responsibilities.

  • Collaborate in resolving non-conformities on the production line, and ensuring no recurrences.

  • Provide guidance to operators on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety protocols, and departmental procedures.

  • Conduct training sessions for both permanent and temporary staff as required.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Diploma or Degree holder in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent.

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in a shopfloor manufacturing environment, with 1 to 2 years of experience in people management.

  • Industry experience in food or other chemical sectors within the manufacturing environment is ideal.

  • Knowledgeable in manpower planning, shift scheduling, and fostering safety awareness on the shop floor.

  • Trained in dispensing or batch-processing manufacturing, using RF scanner & labeling, and bar coding.

  • Advanced SAP bar coding/scanning experience required with proficiency in recordkeeping skills.

  • Experience with forklift operation is advantageous.

  • Soft skills such as independence, quick learner, and good decision making skills with a proactive mindset.

  • Detail-oriented with basic PC skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office .

  • Able to work in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
