Project Manager (Based in Melaka)

Project Manager- Your future position?

 

As a Site In-Charge/Construction Project Manager, you will be spearheading the implementation of quality and safety management system, associated tools, processes and procedures to ensure site activities are appropriately controlled and monitored for the satisfactory progression of the projects and in accordance with Givaudan standard. This role will be a fixed term contract from Oct 2021- Mar 2023.

  • Monitoring of overall site construction with the view of forecasting problems for their prevention.
  • Liaise with Givaudan team / Consultant and coordinate with selected main contractor, engineering team to ensure that the work is as per the scheduled and approved design drawing / samples approved by Givaudan.
  • Ensure at all times good communication channels are maintained between Givaudan, the project team, contractor and sub- contractor
  • Responsible for reviewing change order requests which is including any addition work, a change in design, scope change, etc. and discuss with Givaudan team. 
  • Work with the project team in the day to day activities. I.e Allocate areas for work, review RA-MS for work execution
  • Prepare a weekly project progress report and update to the project team.
  • Involve testing and commissioning of equipment, system and verify the equipment are installed correctly, safe to operate, etc.
  • Coordinate with design consultant and lead for site inspection by authorities to check and approve the projects

Your professional profile includes:

  • Degree in engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Construction Management)
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a construction / project manager
  • Familiarity with Malaysia regulations in terms of safety, construction management, etc…
  • Good knowledge of MS Office / Autocad / MS project
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Construction, Safety certificate will be an advantage
  • Experience in Food and Pharma would be an advantage
