Quality Technician - Your future position?

 

As a Quality Technician with Givaudan, you will inspect and analyse raw materials, in-process as well as finished product samples to secure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications and standards. In this exciting role, you will report directly to the Assistant Quality Manager based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct chemical, physical testing, and sensory evaluation of products and incoming ingredients according to Givaudan specifications.

  • Record test results promptly into SAP, leading to acceptance or rejection of materials.

  • Communicate rejections and updates to relevant stakeholders in Quality, Operations, Purchasing, and Customer Care through email, system notes, or verbal communication.

  • Conduct basic equipment calibrations as per calibration procedures.

  • Troubleshoot instruments, equipment, and quality deviations in the laboratory.

  • Identify opportunities for improvements in Quality Control processes.

  • Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment.

  • Provide backup and support to team members as required.

  • Perform administrative tasks within the Quality Control department.

  • Available to work in shifts.

Your profile Includes:

  • Academic Background: Diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or any equivalent.

  • Professional Experience: Overall work experience of 1 to 2 years ; Open to fresh graduates.

  • Laboratory and/or QC techniques required.

  • Operational experience and strong affinity on laboratory system, analytical equipment and instruments such as weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC.

  • Knowledge on chemical substances, hazardous material and related local regulations.

  • Basics of Sensory Evaluation.
