Warehouse Supervisor  - Your future position?

 

As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will collect and consolidate production schedules and inventory data to plan weekly and daily material flows and inform needs in terms of material/product stocks to satisfy demand and supply without creating business disruptions. You will be reporting to Logistics Manager while based in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. 

 

Sounds interesting? In this exciting role you also will:

  • Review production schedules, customer orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items for movement, gathering, and distribution. Prioritize work orders and dispatch them to the team.

  • Oversee the reception of incoming materials, including related administrative tasks such as batch number recordings, goods receipt issuance, and materials labeling. Also, supervise dispatching and storage activities.

  • Ensure the preparation of materials/products for shipment aligns with customer orders in terms of quantity and type.

  • Monitor the loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and staging of products and materials in designated areas, following predetermined sequences based on factors such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Operate computers, including desktop PCs and handheld devices, for tasks such as receiving, real-time inventory updates, and processing customer order shipments to achieve daily KPIs.

  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and public safety regulations, particularly when using forklifts, clamp trucks, or handling hazardous materials/products.

  • Supervise the maintenance of warehouse facilities and equipment, ensuring they are kept clean, safe, and operational. Report service requests as needed.

  • Identify capability gaps within the team and conduct training sessions to address them effectively.

  • Lead stock count or cycle count exercises as required to maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the warehouse, including office spaces, storage areas, racks, loading bays, compounds, waste areas, and operational equipment, including charging areas.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Diploma in Logistics or a relevant field.

  • 5 to 6 years of experience in warehouse department within a manufacturing environment.

  • Leadership or supervisor experience is highly ideal.

  • Good understanding of factory warehouse process flow from end to end & familiarity with production process flow and scheduling.

  • Skills in operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts, reach trucks, and hand pallet trucks.

  • Proficient in transportation guidelines, material/product safety regulations, and inventory management processes/tools.

  • Strong traits of independence, maturity, and decision-making skills.

  • Competence in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) or advantageous to have knowledge of SAP.

  • Ability to work on a shift basis.

  • Able to work in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.
