Job Purpose
Manage budget and medium-term planning, develop policy recommendations. Analyse the organisation's revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators. Be able for all financial, control and compliance matters related to the local legal entities. Support the business in preserving, driving and maximizing sustainable value creation. The job supports typically a large size site.
Core Responsibilities
Financial management
- Ensure appropriate balance sheet structure is maintained for the legal entity
- Provide Support for Accounts Receivable&Accounts Payable process
- Forecast Cash-flow in cooperation with Group Treasury
Financial reporting: internal (Group) and external
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with legal and statutory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Ensure internal controls over financial accounting are properly maintained, documented and reviewed
- Ensure accounting vouchers and finance related legal documentation is safely retained, in compliance with national rules®ulations and Group policies
- Coordinate and lead all external audits
Tax planning and compliance
- Ensure tax planning is performed in coordination with Group Tax while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations and commitments made (APA, tax ruling)
- Ensure Corporate Income Tax, VAT and other indirect taxes returns are filed in accordance with national regulations
- Ensure Internal tax reporting to Group Tax is performed in accordance with group procedures
- Manage direct and indirect tax audits in coordination with Group Tax
Site controlling
- Lead the local planning and budgeting process, within the framework defined by Group and Division controlling and ensure adherence to functional targets
- Lead the annual standard costing and periodic standard cost revision processes
- Ensure integrity of Givaudan Group management accounting processes and results, including costs of goods produced/sold
- Disseminate consistent and reliable financial information and analysis, constructively challenge business activities and support informed decision making
General compliance and internal audit
- Maintain Delegation of Authorities for the legal entity (-ies) in scope
- Coordinate relationship with Corporate Internal Audit; ensure on-site logistical support to auditors during their audit missions; organise and follow-up on audit recommendations
Legal support
- Draft, file and ensure proper retention of corporate documents
- Ensure that all 3rd party relationships are backed by legally enforceable agreements and that the company's interests are protected
Insurance
- Maintain insurance policies and perform reporting to Group Insurance, as required
- Ensure appropriate management of insurance claims
Organisation, people and processes
- Ensure appropriate local organisation and staffing, incl. job descriptions and back-up solutions
- Maintain and develop skills and competencies of local finance
- Manage services received from GFS
- Lead in continuous process improvement initiatives
Company / site management
- As a member of the Site Management Committees take an active part in site management
- Represent the employer in the Pension Fund Committee(s) and similar
- Take local lead on any corporate finance projects
You?
- Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or professional accountancy qualification
- 15 to 20 years' relevant experience
- Min 5 years of experience in a management role
- Fluent English
- Excellent financial and management accounting knowledge; familiar with statutory and tax compliance matters. Good understanding of product costing processes and procedures in a standard costing manufacturing environment
- Technical skills - MS Office software including Excel, Word, Access, Lotus Notes, SAP
