CMI Manager, your future role?
As a Consumer Marketing Insight (CMI) Manager you'll serve as a CMI Business Partner with responsibility for specific customers. Lead, design, execute and communicate market research projects and build consumer understanding in line with our business objectives. You might also mentor junior CMI staff.
You'll report to the Category Director Fabric and Home Care LATAM, and will be based in CDMX, Mexico; and will work four days onsite and one from home a week.
Your responsibilities will include:
Project Management
- Project Management /Leadership of regional and cross-regional MR projects
- Identifi cation of methodology for Consumer MR
- Commissioning and Set-Up
- Cost Management
- Management and quality control of Field
- Manage Data Analysis
- Be the market research expert in direct contact with clients, to discuss and review CMI strategies, methodologies and results
- Ensure CMI data is stored centrally and accessible for future reference
Business Partnering
- Be the CMI Business Partner for internal colleagues, working closely on projects throughout the development cycle providing in-depth interpretation of results to guide fragrance development and selection and to help to build rationale to support our submissions etc.
- Support sales and development teams as market research expert in direct contact with clients, to discuss and review CMI strategies, methodologies and results
Continuous Improvement
- Work with category teams to identify gaps in knowledge and to develop and test hypotheses relating to insights into consumer behaviour, to providenew ideas to feed the development process
Mentoring and coaching
- May mentor CMI Analysts

Your professional profile includes:
Academic Background
- University Degree/Masters Degree (or equivalent experience)
Professional Experience
- 7+ years of experience in market research
Technical Skills
- Verbal and written command of English (90%)
- Proficiency in using common PC applications
- In-depth understanding of inferential and multivariate statistics and experimental design
Market Research Skills
- Demonstrate competent knowledge and use of Market Research theory and qualitative and quantitative methodologies (protocols, designs,questionnaires etc.)
Project Management
- Plan, lead and communicates all required functional steps in the CMI project
Statistics and Analysis
- Expertise in analyzing large datasets and drawing strategic conclusions and possible effects
- Familiar with data reduction, consumer segmentation and driver analysis techniques to interrogate data from different perspectives, to develop hypotheses for fragrance development and arguments to support submissions
- Proficient in use of statistical software for analysis of research data (in locations where this is done in-house)
Market Knowledge
- Competent knowledge of market dynamics and trends for specific country, segment, category, or geographic area as required
- Understanding of fragrances (olfactory families, main benchmarks etc.)
