Sr. Fragrances Application Engineer, your future role?

 

Working on-site in our corporate facilities in Polanco, Mexico City, and reporting to the Applications Lab Coordinator, you will join a team of passionate shapers of the best fragrances in the world.

 

Your mail goal will be to develop fragrance applications on multiple bases and provide technical expertise to our creative and sales teams, and to meet our customer expectations, contributing to the growth of our business in Mexico.

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Support the Applications Coordinator and the Technical Manager coordinating the activities of the applications laboratory, including sample preparation for internal and external clients, and setting the priorities for the team.
  • Support the Applications Coordinator reviewing and assigning application requests and responding to internal and external audits.
  • Prepare fragrance applications on multiple bases to meet the needs of the creative and development teams.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of applications.
  • Improve application processes.
  • Provide technical expertise to our creative, development and sales teams, and to our external clients.
  • Be the laboratory contact for specific clients and projects.
  • Manage sample orders and fragrance oil orders.
  • Perform physicochemical measurements.
  • Help review technical documentation.
  • Perform color matching and recommend dyes based on client requests.
  • Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment.
  • Manage client base inventories and submit project samples for retained applications.
  • Oversee and mentor other junior technicians, trainees, and others.

 

 

You?

 

Your professional profile includes:

 

  • University degree in Chemistry, QFB, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or similar fields.
  • At least 4 years of laboratory and product formulation experience, or in a related field such as R&D, in the fragrance or consumer products industry, with a background in multinational companies.
  • Technical knowledge of fragrances and fragrance product categories, formulation, and application.
  • Knowledge of good laboratory practices, handling laboratory equipment and safe handling of chemicals.
  • Understanding of laboratory techniques applied to perfumery.
  • Olfactory ability.
  • Understanding of ISO protocols.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Upper intermediate English level, both oral and written.
