Purpose

You will be responsible for material requirements planning (MRP) activities, including (raw) materials ordering and inventory, toll manufacturing and coordination, and production planning and scheduling to secure that products can be manufactured and supplied on time to customers following defined quality standards and operative Indicators (PIR/golden rules/best practices, SLOB..).

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain material requirements data in MRP/SAP system(s); test system configuration whenever updated/changed.

  • Collaborate with Demand Planners as well as Commercial and Manufacturing organizations to review customer orders and agree on production plans and schedules.

  • Refine/finalize tolling schedules based on inventory levels and material requirements.

  • Refine/finalize production schedules based on inventory levels and material requirements.

  • Provide supply forecasts to procurement to secure (raw) material availability.

  • Release Purchase Orders to 3rd party suppliers according to sourcing and fulfillment instructions defined by the global Category Managers and within quality and time constraints for complex materials (scarce material, consignment stocks, sub-contracting, multi-source material)

  • Work with the purchasing organization to resolve material availability, quality or vendor issues.

  • Manage availability issue resolution with category managers and vendors

  • Track and follow up  Purchase Orders deliveries to ensure security of supply

  • Coordinate delivery and quality non conformities in relation with respective team members

  • Support investigation of root cause analysis on invoice non conformities

  • Support the follow-up on planning, quality and account payable escalations ensuring appropriate commercial relations with the supply base.

  • Place, track and file orders for (raw) materials;

  • Work with the purchasing organization to resolve material availability, quality or vendor issues.

  • Monitor and check accuracy of supply and inventory data in related systems (SAP, SLOB).

  • Monitor production schedules to inform the Demand Planners, Customer Care and Commercial organizations about product delivery dates or resolve delays.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement regarding supply planning and service to customers.

  • Issue and distribute status reports (e.g. COOISPI schedule, OTS, past due purchase orders).

  • Work under the standards of quality, safety and industrial hygiene.

 

Academic Background

  • Vocational diploma in Logistics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Foreign Trade or others preferred.

 

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the area of materials management and planning ideally in the production of natural aromatic ingredients.

 

Technical Skills

  • APICS certification.

  • ERP/MRP expertise.

  • Affinity to systems and analytical tools (Desired SAP, BI, BO).

  • Language skills: English – Fluent.
